Bill Imboden

Biography

Bill began his horticultural career in South Florida in 1981 when Academy Services started.  He became a State licensed lawn and ornamental pest control operator in 1982 and in 1989 he became a licensed irrigation contractor.  The specialty licenses obtained over the years were used to compliment his full service landscape management company.  Bill's experience supervising office, nursery, spray and irrigation technicians, mechanics and lawn workers has proved him with a valuable, practical working knowledge of South Florida landscape techniques and support systems.  The logistics of managing a profitable service company with up to eighteen employees for two decades has offered him a valuable background.

The landscape/mowing/pruning/irrigation segment of Academy Services was sold in the spring of 1993.  This reduction in the scope of services was necessary for Bill to focus on the nutritional and pest aspects of successfully maintaining the urban environment.

As a result of a formal education with a Science Degree, years of hands on experience owning and managing a service company, Bill has developed a working knowledge and established a network of contacts in the Green Industry that enables him to solves problems that may elude others with less experience or knowledge.

Since 1999
